Michael Sisson

Translator

Michael Sisson is an original member of the Jazz Poetry Ensemble™ and co-author with Michael Vander Does of the Ensemble's chapbook Inca Blues. His translations of Latin American poetry have appeared in literary reviews, as well as in the books Machiavellian Reflections by Pedro Shimose and City of Memory by Jose Emilio Pacheco. He has been playing bass in ensembles around Ohio since 1975. He currently teaches Spanish at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, and is a member of the Athens-based gypsy swing band Coolville Hotclub and the contradance band TriCounty Revelers.
